What type of polypropylene films do you produce?A large variety of films are produced on 4 flat oriented "Tenter Lines". Our film lines are categorized in one of three main categories; BOPP, CPP and laminated films. Our product pages list all of the films available to you through Polibak Plastics America.
Do you produce any other films?
Yes. We also produce Low-Density (LDPE) and Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) film.
What is your total capacity?
We can produce 90 million lbs of BOPP, 8 million lbs of CPP film, and 12 million lbs of LDPE per annum.
Do you offer Metallized films?
Yes. We have 2 General Vacuum metallizing units in our facility.
What are the advantages of flat oriented film versus tubular oriented films?
Thickness uniformity, film flatness and dimensional stability is better in flat orientation films like those offered by Polibak Plastics America.
In what form is the film delivered?
Typically, our films are delivered on rolls with an inner core diameter of 6” and outside diameter of 21". However, we can also be produce films on 3” cores with 13" O.D.
Is there a minimum and maximum web width per roll?
The minimum web width is 2” and the maximum width is 60”.
Are custom widths available?
We can provide film rolls of any web width ranging between 2" to 60" through our slitting facilities in Herndon, Virginia.
Are all of your films safe for food contact?
Yes. All our films are made from resins that are approved by the FDA for food contact. We are also an ISO 9001 and AIB certified facility.
What is your lead-time?
For all stock sizes, shipping is done within 24 hours. For custom sizes and orders, the lead-time is 6-8 weeks.
Can you keep the films we use in inventory on our behalf?
Yes. After receipt of a P.O. for the whole quantity, or signature of an Inventory Stocking Agreement, we will order and stock your merchandise at one of our facilities closest to you. We may then release goods upon request.
Do you do custom slitting?
Yes. We do all slitting at our facility in Herndon, Virginia.
What type of inventory you keep in the US?
We keep approximately 400,000 lbs of inventory in the US. Film inventory varies in thickness and web width. A complete list can be found under the film inventory listing.
